Why does the word "EULA" come to mind...? My score is 251 words/minute, which relates to a 8-grader. Not bad for not native laguage, eh...?

I would also like to state that I'm as horny as an 8-grader as well!

I can read a lot faster than what that thing said, however that story made no sense at all. Seems it was written by a child and make as much sense as gibberish so yeah I read it slowly trying to make sense of it. I can read a 400 page book in about five hours so I guess I read pretty fast.

^ All the texts (there are 3 different ones) are from famous novels (Down the rabbit hole, The WIzard of Oz and War of the Worlds). I agree the styles of writing are a little unusual though, like it's embellished with the peculiarities of the language.
I think the reading speed increases once you get used to the style though. On my first I did quite poor. On the second and third, I increased the number of paragraphs to 15 (options in the top right corner), and managed 400+ on both (although I have read WotW semi-recently, so perhaps it doesn't count).

Great find, tricpe

Says I could read War in Peace in half a day if I maintained that speed. I'm sure I couldn't maintain that speed. I finish reading one book per week. Less if it has piqued my interest enough for me to keep on reading.

I did a second time and yes I did improve on my speed so I do believe that perhaps it has to do with the writing style. Thank you for the tip Edorph. I was reading a book last night and remembered this so I decided to time my reading. It is a 400 page book and I only read until page 50 because I was too distracted with music and thoughts but I will give it a shot today. We'll see how I do!
