NTU scientists unveil 2Gbps wireless chip for mobile devices

Scientists from Singapore's Nanyang Technological University (NTU)'s Virtus IC Design Centre of Excellence
have announced a new microchip called Virtus (named after the design center) that promises up to 2Gbps wireless
data transfers in mobile devices. This will theoretically allow users to transfer 1GB worth of data in under 5s. Not
only would this make copying music and videos to and from phones painless, it could also be used to make streaming
content from mobile devices to TVs and projectors more convenient.
