Today's big Microsoft announcement was indeed a tablet called Microsoft Surface.
I love the concept of the tablet. But I've been holding out for something that is more than just an entertainment device.
OK Microsoft, you have my attention. Now let's see what it does.
I read an article on this in the Huffington Post last night that mentioned this. MS decided to keep the same name as the table.
MS announced two versions of the Surface. An Intel based tablet will run full Win8 Pro. There will be an ARM based unit that is likely to run WinRT.
I like the name, and I actually like the idea of a cross over device. Very good.
I quite liked the look of this.. my experience of Windows 8 has been very, very negative though...
It's stupid.

Metro is completely unintuitive... at least, that's been my experience thus far... it needs the start button back (thank you, Stardock) and it needs to take into account people who use desktops and mice not tablets.. I suppose we're still not at final release but.... but.... I don't like Metro!!! Boo! Boo!!
