Hmm, something's not right: The feds say as of 2018: (https://www.eia.gov/tools/faqs/faq.php?id=427&t=3)

source billions of kWh Percentage of total production
Coal 1,146 27.4%

But the map source says for US 2018:

Operating: 261,037 MW

Lets's divide that by 1000 to get billions, and that map just quartered our energy produced by coal:

1,146 versus 261.

As a handy dandy reference point, chez griff has produced 4megawatts since May 1st.
