Well we did it. We got the lease agreement sorted on the 3,500sqft unit, sorted the insurance, paid the first months rent, and now two of my friends, Vinny and Mickey, along with myself, are officially business partners.

The business will deal with repairs to cars and motorbikes, spare parts to the local area and on ebay, gumtree, etc, and environmentally sound dismantling and disposal of scrap cars, bikes and farm equipment.

We will be the only suppliers of 2nd hand parts for 30 miles, there's only one other place within 20 miles you can get a motorbike fixed, (and that guy is a prick that no one likes) and there's no one we can find in Lincs that will take away scrap farm machinery.

We plan to work for free for the first three months, and if it looks like it's gonna be financially viable, I'm going to be handing back my invalidity benefits and housing benefits, and actually hold my fucking head up again for the first time in ten years.....

It's gonna be a fun time, either way it goes, eaglebloke (my eldest son) is gonna be working for us as well, so it's gonna be mini family affair....

Just gotta keep it cool, play the game, and keep at it, the rest is up to fate, good luck and maybe a little bit of blagging...

two reasons mainly... firstly to maximise the business, every penny is going back into it, and secondly, because we are all on benefits, we would have to stop our claims straight away if we were earning a wage from it.

We had our first real customer today. Real as in someone we don't know. They need a full service and a power steering pump... Long may this continue...
