Teoti or not Teoti: That is the question.

I'm leaving for Hartford, Connecticut in about 1 hour from now. Very excited, but also very anxious. And sad. I'm going to miss Atlanta and all the people I knew there.

I'll try to check in (to post APOD and C&H, if nowt else), but if I disappear for a few days it's because I'm on the road.

Hey, take a moment to see the sights and scene. Take a moment to take it all in, stop and smell the hummus, it is a nice drive if you get off 95 every once in a while. While driving through VA go to the Marine museum, it is free, stop into Mount Vernon, go to the National Harbor, all of it is just off 95. If you need pointers just ask. These stops won't take but 10-15 mins off the main road. Stop into DC, avoid that road near the Kennedy center, it switches direction at 3pm and you may be stuck on loop for hours.

Drive safely, and may your journey and new adventure be blessed!

PS Take the time to explore Wegmans if there is one up there, you will be glad for it.

I would stay as far away from DC traffic as humanly possible. Mmmmmm...hummus.

Can't avoid it! lol! Well, the 95 corridor that is, we call it Metro traffic, from Maryland all the way to Fredericksburg it is gridlock from 2pm until 7pm... sometimes it is even stretches into Richmond.

For the love of all that is wonderful in this world, take 295 when heading into VA and avoid 95 as it will take you straight into Richmond and that is a mess.

There is this dive in Alexandria called Cocorico. Their Lomo and Pollo Saltado was freaking sinful and crazy.

No such food in Michigan. Everytime I stay in Alexandria I make sure I get the closest hotel.

I clearly missed that place you mentioned. The one I am talking about is in "Alexandria" but on route 1, and if you have been on Route 1 towards Mount Vernon or Fort Belvoir, you just don't tell anyone to go down that road, ever. Su Pollo! Yum! Now I am hungry :/ no such place here. Sorry no such food in MI, but if you are ever in the Harbor Springs MI area and feel like having Polish food, Legs Inn is the best. Plus the beach is just around the corner.

well, when he gets to NE, seafood will be calling his name. Lobster, NE clam chowder, fresh fish (you can get it off the fishing boats if you live near a sea community) clams/mussels/scallops

I don't know of the great local restaurants (other than Legal) for seafood but that's my great culinary weakness as well. I ate fresh caught gulf shrimp and fish every day on spring break.

Polish Village Cafe in Hamtramck is THE place to go if you aren't afraid of venturing that close to the war zone(It's almost completely surrounded by Detroit) or mind that the city council is now majority Muslim.

Well many places in Michigan are that way I don't like Detroit, the traffic was hideous and the people odious, nothing to do with the religion of some.

I thought you were going to say you'd drop me off on the Miskatonic University campus.

Joking aside we've talked fleetingly of visiting the NE for some time. I've never been. I might take you up on it one of these days.

Any bets on ahere he may be stuck in traffic on a Friday afternoon on the way to Boston right during rush hour? I am going to say getting into Virginia now. That is if getting out of Hotlanta was a possibility before 10 am.

Evo: Where were you at 5:30pm on April 21, while driving to Buostan? Whomever gets closest gets 100 pts.

you would be most welcome to stay here. We have a 4 bedroom house with access to a private pond. Centrally located and in a quiet part of the Cape
