Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't his ENTIRE CAMPAIGN about changing Washington??

Major gaffe overshadows appearance at Univison forum

President Obama has learned something during his presidency: You can’t change Washington from the inside.

“The most important lesson I’ve learned is that you can’t change Washington from the inside,” he told a Univision forum Thursday. “You can only change it from the outside.”

The remark immediately set off the political media on Twitter.

“(This) is perhaps Obama’s worst gaffe since he met Joe the Plumber?” BuzzFeed editor Ben Smith asked on Twitter Thursday afternoon.

2 things.

1. He did campaign on change, but the above statement is about something he learned, not something he already knew. Once new information is absorbed, thoughts and opinions can change.

2. Then fucking resign, Obama. If you now acknowledge that it cannot be changed from the inside, resign your position, get on the outside, and get that change you are after.

That is why it is called a "gaffe"

Change comes from the outside. Let's see if he can really get 100% of his 53%.

I'm going to be interested in your "observations" if The O dog loses.

All these issues are temporary for both of them - voters are fickle and everything will be on the same flatline it has been a few weeks before

Bob Beckell (sp?) just said on FOX ( liberal commentator btw) that the media won't want this race to end soon, so they will turn on Obama to make it closer down the stretch. Now that's a mentality we all need. Let's shape public opinion so that we can be "entertained" for the next 46 days
