Golfer in Chief

“Can you believe that, with all of the problems and difficulties facing the U.S., President Obama spent the day playing golf.Worse than Carter,” ~ Trump wrote on Twitter in October 2014.

President Barack Obama made it four months into his presidency before his first golf outing as commander in chief. George W. Bush made it even longer, first hitting the links as president about 5 ½ months into his first term.

Donald Trump made it two weeks before heading to the golf course.

On his first vacation as president to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, Trump spent about eight hours at the Trump International Golf Club last Saturday and Sunday. And he will be taking his clubs out again for more golfing this weekend, as he is scheduled to play with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

A senior White House official declined to say with whom Trump spent time on the links last weekend, after aides had declined over the weekend to provide details about the president's outing. He stayed at the club about the length of time it usually takes to play 18 holes. This person said Trump was looking forward to his round of golf with Abe this weekend.

Trips to the golf course have long been a presidential tradition, and it is no surprise that Trump, who regularly touts his ownership of golf courses around the world and his own golfing talents, would gamely carry it on. He even landed on the cover of a special issue of Golf Digest with the title “Golfer in Chief.” And during the transition, Trump evaded reporters to sneak in a private round in Florida.

But his enthusiastic embrace of the sport comes after he spent years mocking Obama for his own habit.

I know it's a small thing but what a fucking hypocrite.

That is one thing I never had any issue with is Presidential down time, be it Golf, weekend get away, a nap.... These guys are on the hook 24-7 356 days a year for 4-8 years straight (that's why they all look 40 years older when there done). Love them, Hate them life and death, poverty and wealth, happiness and despair are all in their hands and on there minds. If they want to take a couple hours to fuck off with secret service hovering and access at a monuments notice to every world leader and event in the world fine.

With that said I knew this Hippocratic statement that was meant only to high light how much of a harder worker he wanted to be was going to come back and take a big piece out of his golf course owning ass; EVEN IF HE MEANT IT AS A JOKE (which his dumb ass didn't).

Anyway Trumps golf days are $1100 cheaper to the TAX payer than Obamas, seeing as he's not drawing the 400k presidential salary

In fact in 8 years Obamas golfing days cost the US TAX payer $336,600

That's Lord Dumpanut for you.

Yeah, he's still trying to get his cabinet approved, he's got his shit already hitting circuit court, more yet to come.

edit:
It's really sad, when this administration does it, like trying to shut the fucking scientists up at the various agencies and departments only to find out they really got their ass handed to them over it. Trying to blame the previous Obama Administration over their own goddamned fucking actions, that had absolutely zero to do with either Obama or his administration. It's not like the Obama Administration has had everybody retire to a retirement home with Alzheimer's and senility going on, so nobody can make a cogent statement about what is going on. Far from it! Shouldn't the current administration be sufficiently smart enough to realize this, instead of trying to pass the buck. This is shear stupidity.

In two weeks, Trump now has his own Yemghazi hanging over his fucking head. Trump is eating his own shit about putting Bannon on the NSC, and pushing the fucking people that should be there out. Does anybody really think that this administration is up to par with any previous administration? Bush (II) is still only worse by starting war(s) that we didn't really need. And from his own fuck head, Bannon, it seems that we will be driven to war against China (and I can't rule out Iran, Iraq (fucking again!), or Syria, and I'm sure that there are others being looked at as well...)

V, do really think this administration is something to write home about??? If you do, this is why I consider you a complete fool.

The real cost of that to the taxpayer is yet to be calculated.

He's already got his hands out for his reelection campaign...

I thought you had a problem with Executive Orders???
I guess you only appreciate the ill conceived, poorly implemented, potentially unconstitutional or self aggrandizing ones.

And... exactly what has he accomplished other than his first military combat death and killing 15-30 civilians... including an 8yo girl who was a US citizen... while failing to complete the mission objective and losing an $85M helicopter.
BTW: It really looks like it was an effort to wipe out an entire family. But you go right ahead and applaud him for getting shit done.

I guess signing one's name ten times and relentless search for fake news and mean tweeting is enough to make anybody exhausted

Considering the military is looking at leasing in Trump Tower, your presumption needs a bit more thinking. Plus, the housing of staff and SS at the "winter" WhiteHouse. And what the SS is paying in rent at TT for securing Melania.

Obama's Hawaii vacation in 2015 cost taxpayers $4.88 million, that's 3 years (the CNN reported rent) at trump towers in a couple of weeks *and* 300 paid presidential rounds of golf in loose change.

Trump's Thanksgiving vacation last year cost taxpayers $7 million and that was before he even took office.

Because you conveniently ignored

exactly what has he accomplished

the first time and came back with

Quote by LordViscera:

Exactly what is your measure of "doing" during the first two weeks?
Explain how

Quote by LordViscera:
he got more done

and

Quote by LordViscera:
anointed one did so much less

is anything more than so much flatulence.

What has he done as President that makes you so proud?

Trump has succeeded more in working with Congress that Obama to this point. Not that congress has pushed anything UP yet, as it is supposed to work but I feel that they have a more symbiotic relationship than Obama ever had even with Congress(D). I suspect that this relationship will work until Congress(R) doesn't get what they want.

Executive orders are not permanent change. Obama stooped to them because he and any Congress could not get on the same page for varied reasons. Trump uses them/and Twitter to assert his authority.

Congress is still having trouble getting Trump's cabinet in place. I'm not sure that "succeeded more" really applies.
