Stupidity. How to make me turn off the TV in five seconds.

Wat?

I'm not sure what the channel was, I'm not sure who was on, host or guest, but I turned on the TV to hear this exchange (paraphrasing slightly)

"Is the administration using the leaks as a smoke screen to get away from the issues of Mike Flynn?"

"Look, this administration won the Presidency by winning over 270 electoral votes..."

Power button pushed.

First thing? Who's sitting in the Whitehouse currently? Trump. The election was over in November, the EC voted in December, it's a done deal. Why are they dragging this shit out? This is the destruction of our democracy, first hand. They can't answer a question honestly, so they're off the fucking rails at this point. Trump and posse are so fucking unsure that they are legitimate, they have to raise that constantly.

Second thing? Trump during the campaign was all about WikiLeaks and how the Russians should be hacking the DNC and HRC. Now he's complaining about fucking leaks? You've got to be shitting me! Put on your big boy pants Trump! Don't expect it to get better, and you're not even one month into your Presidency!

Third thing? This Administration is turning into the Presidency that Trump was warning us about if HRC got elected. That's really sad.

Fourth thing? Are there any grownups in this Administration?

Your problem is having cable

I refuse to watch "TV". I will use Netflix or Kodi. That is all.

Agreed. But the thing about the Democrats is that the Republicans did it eight years ago.

Karma is a bitch. And now the Republicans are being the special snowflakes about it.

And remember how the Dems did it 16 years ago, and how the Republicans did it 20 years ago...

The opposition experienced by previous presidents wasn't nearly as aggressive as what Obama faced. He is the first and only president to have been denied a hearing on his budget, he is the first and only president to have been denied a hearing on his Supreme Court nominee, he is first and only president to have been subject of racist remarks, he is the first and only president to have had his religion questioned, he is the first only president to have been demanded to produce a birth certificate as proof that he was born in the United States, he is the first and only president to have had the country of of his birth questioned even after producing said birth certificate, he is the first and only president to face over 500 filibusters, and let's not forget that he also faced a 17-day shut down of the government.

On a related note: I attended a "sermon" by President Carter at Maranatha Baptist Church (Plains, GA) a little over two weeks ago, and one of the things he said that the Republicans were fairly cooperative during his administration.

Subsequent presidents (Reagan, Bush, Clinton, and Dubya) probably did face more opposition that Carter, but what Obama faced was unprecedented. Never before had a president of the United States been treated such resentment and opposition.

Please, outside of some fringe sites Obama did whatever he wanted and when the courts stopped him, he just blamed republicans and the press ate it up, he suffered nothing

Really? They even had a sitcom Not My Bush! I don't recall an Obama sitcom, nor did we have calls for impeachment prior to inauguration, nor did we have widespread riots... er 'peaceful protests'. This is NOTHING like what Obama entered office into. Even on this site those on the Right were curious about what was going to happen, I myself looked for an posted things he said I thought were positives (government transparency... which turned out to be lies). About the only one who said anything controversial was Rush Limbaugh who hoped he failed to implement his policies (which was widely misrepresented... but what's new).

W. entered into office an 'illegitimate president' who 'stole the election' (US SC vs. Russia that time), had his cabinet stalled in committee and faced daily ridicule and misinformation. Gee... sound familiar?

Are these actions of Congress?

Congressmen have called for the impeachment of Trump, yes.

As for Obama, he had both houses, and a near super majority in the Senate. No Democrat in Congress talked against him (where McCain and others trash Trump regularly).

Obama also had a very favorable media.

Seriously. Obama didn't go through anywhere close to what Bush went through, mush less Trump.

We're not talking about Trump. We're talking about presidents before Obama. Did you read what I wrote? For that matter, did you read what you wrote?

Well... at least that explains why you are so well informed.

Quote by Flee:

Ever stop to consider the possibility everything he does is in need of being blocked?
Or are we supposed to just let him break every toy in the box and piss off everyone in the neighborhood?
We have to live here after all.

You misunderstand. I was only stating what is happening. I don't care about the reason why they feel it necessary.

You call it informed, I call it lied to or misled. Like when Nancy cited a fake twitter account? I was "informed" she is a fucking tool. Or when any news agencies consistently uses twitter as their news source.

TV is not the only source of news. It sure is a shitty source, though.

There is only 1 tweet I care about:

Bytehead, could the guest have been Kellyanne Conway? Evading questions by changing the subject is totally her thing.

Like every time the Donald spoke during the campaign?
Like every time the Kellyanne and Brent trainwreck appears?
How about Trump's use of Twitter as a news feed?
He will not take reporters questions but insists on creating policy, bad policy at that, 140 characters at a time. The agencies are being forced now to go where the news is.

President: "The leaks are real. You're the one that wrote about 'em and reported 'em. The news is fake."
