Hi!

I have a wireless network at home, and was trying to look online for ways to set up easy file sharing between 2 or 3 windows 7 based pc's at home.

Is it possible? Would I need a software for this? Or windows home network thing will suffice? Which would be better: Windows default software or a separately downloaded software?

Thanks for any help.

If they're all on the same LAN / workgroup .. just the default Windows Networking is fine.

Ask bytey. He has it, and can even limit how much we see of each others' drives.

Thanks blackspy....
just needed to ask: If I have 2 wireless networks, both connecting to internet through the same modem, then switching between these networks would disconnect the homegroup?? Or not??

Not sure exactly how that would work without more details. To the two lans share an ip range, if so it might work depending on how it is set up.

It shouldn't be any problem if you are using the computer name to share.

In windows 7 you need to put the network profile to home & start from there.

I'll check if I can find a step by step tutorial .
