There are plenty of places and roads to travel in the D but unless you know for certain it is best to stay off the road less traveled. I've pulled many a "nope" U turn in my day.

There are some absolutely awesome places and some great ways to see them. I did the lager tour last year: http://gearsandbeersdetroit.com/

I believe this was in Mexicantown on a Saturday afternoon. Right time, big crowd, beaten path. Where's Vormid?

The Dequindre Cut

Simply amazing to ride through part of this. The architecture, the decay, the graffiti...together have a beauty I don't know you could see anywhere else but D.

That's got to be you with the knee fetish. Leave that poor woman's leg alone!

(The ride looks like a brilliant thing to do, btw, thanks for sharing.)

Well when we got to Detroit, it was late afternoon, we were exhausted and that place was so busy, so packed, so much traffic, I wanted out ASAP. We left the next morning and drove up to Sturgeon River and stayed there at a cabin- beautiful place. We have land up in MI, not sure if we will ever do anything with it. Maybe pass it on to the kids if they want to live out in the country.

Originally I thought that was you, but then wondered how you would have gotten the photo and assumed you must have been in the front, but could not ascertain which one you were, as none struck me as Vormid... yay for instincts.

I hit their website and looked for any collateral pictures from 2016. There were a few. I didn't pose for any though. That was one fun afternoon...it was a whirlwind of bar hopping. A great way to see the city. Next time I take a decent camera, I have some pics of the Dequindre Cut and maybe the Train Station (my favorite abandoned bldg) somewhere.

Honestly, last time I went to a bar I think it was 2013. I used to like bar hopping, now I just want to be in bed by 8pm. Hahahahaha!

Oh it was "tasting" mostly unless you bought more. The 15 mile bike ride burned off any alcohol unless you were determined.

I was sure that was Silent Bob standing back there. Rocking a beard like that, way too cool to be Vormid, I thought.

Well from far away I guess I can see the resemblance.
