It'll be interesting to see how Youtube deals with this, or if the advertisers will be bothered. It's being reported that YoutubeTV adverts are popping up on these channels as well. + I wonder how many youtubers will have the balls to cover it? Youtube delete accounts for far less.
He shows that articles have been up since 2017 about this. Seems YouTube is dealing with it by doing nothing, and I assume the reason being is that this hasn't gone viral enough for parents to see it and become aware.
My daughter is only 2 and she does own a tablet, and heavily watches YouTube(damn you baby shark), but even before she owned the tablet, I told my wife that there will be no tablet/phone using by my kids in bedrooms, etc. Time limits while they are very young, and no devices allowed on the second floor, so that leaves their play room, the living room, and kitchen, where my wife or I will always be present.
I think too many parents don't take an active enough role, or are just too naive to what can happen on the internet. Since men tend to use the internet for porn, and should understand what is out there, these girls have absent fathers?
To set up a monetised youtube account attached to a bank account for a 10 year old, I'd say so yeah
These vids seem to be reuploads on burner accounts if they have monetisation, or kids uploading dumb kid stuff without monetisation. Not that I've looked deep enough into this to say that with certainty.
I still think a larger portion of the blame is on the parents. Should be setting ground rules for this type of thing. Granted, kids tend to not listen and try to get away with things.
Like parents that aren't aware kids have the social media account their parents set up for them, then their real account their parents know nothing about
Just looked that ""that youtub3 family" channel which has almost 3 mil subs and is a whole family, so Mom and Dad are in the videos and all I clicked on show comments disabled. Maybe they did that themselves as I don't watch the channel, my niece does, bit all seem disabled
